YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Fans of the former FOX and upcoming Netflix sitcom Arrested Development will immediately recognize this 1978 Ford F-350 as the Bluth Family’s “stair car.” Okay, technically it’s a truck, but stair car sounds funnier and anyway, that’s what they called it. For the un-educated out there, the well-to-do Bluth family came upon hard times — no, wait, they didn’t “come upon” them, they ran head-on into them — and eventually the stair car, used at one time for boarding the family’s corporate jet, was about all the ground transportation they had left. And it went everywhere. You don’t want your daughter’s date showing up in this thing, believe me! Several different trucks were used over the course of three seasons. Trailers for the up-coming Netflix revival series also feature the stair car… so, it’s b-a-c-k!
