YAK Car Pic of the Day

From last summer’s Hemming’s Sports & Exotic Car Show in Saratoga Springs comes this 1959 Austin-Healey Sprite. In the U.K., where this A-H Mark I originated, it was nicknamed the Frog-Eye, while in the States it was called a Bug-Eye — both, I hope, for obvious reasons. As neat-looking as these are, and as fun (I imagine) as they are to drive, their tiny size might be intimidating on the Thruway. But a car like this was meant for those twisty back roads anyway, so yeah, I wouldn’t mind a ride.
