YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Amazing what a difference a few years can make. This 1968 Pontiac Grand Prix would hardly be recognizable to lovers of the first GP back in 1962, which was basically a sportier, faster, cleanly-styled premium version of a Catalina two-door hardtop; then in ’63 it was given its own distinctive roofline. This 1968, with its fender skirts and gaudy halo-style vinyl top just screams excess. Luckily for GP fans, in one short year the new GP would set a new standard for the personal luxury class of American automobile. This green monster was spotted last summer at the Niagara Car Show in Lockport.
