YAK Car Pic of the Day

I always wonder when I see cars like this Mercedes-Benz 380 SL, “Why is this just sitting here?” Doesn’t run? Can’t afford insurance? Waiting for Junior to get his license? Stolen? Anyway, this SL was one nice car in its day — and doesn’t look that far removed from being a real head-turner once again with a little TLC. The 380 SL was sold from 1980-86, and thanks to M-B’s simple naming system, we know that it came with a 3.8-liter engine — in this case a         V-8. The hard top was removable, and there was also a soft, folding top offered. As you can see below, they look much better with the top off. Today’s Pic Car was seen in a Niagara Falls driveway.
