YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Here’s one of those cars I’ve seen around town more than once: it’s a V-8-equipped 1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe four-door sedan which, for the record, is sporting a set of wheel covers from a 1957 Plymouth — these used to be very popular with customizers back in the day. The Coronet Deluxe sat in the middle of the line: above the lowly Coronet, and below the fancied 440 and top-of-the-line 500 series. And it came it two- and four-door sedans, as well as a four-door station wagon. The likely V-8 in this white example is of 273 or 318 CID, anything larger would be indicated on the fender badge. This one was spotted, on this day anyway, in the back parking lot of an Amherst auto dealership.
