YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Yes, it’s springtime in WNY. And under that blanket of “springtime snow” is a 1975 Buick LeSabre sedan, sitting across the street from LaSalle Preparatory School on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls. And lucky you, dear YAK reader. It’s For Sale. Yes, you can own your own bit of Americana, as the ’75s were the penultimate year for GM’s huge barges before the downsizing began for MY 1977. The LeSabre was the lowest-priced full-sized Buick, a far cry from the 1951 Le Sabre show car, designed by GM’s legendary Harley Earl, which made the rounds back in the day. The LeSabre moniker first appeared on a production model with the 1959s, and would soldier on until being dropped after the 2005 model year for the Lucerne.
