YAK Car Pic of the Day

Every once in a while I like to find one of these and post it just to tick-off Ralph Nader. So here’s a sweet 1963 Corvair Monza, with new tires, sitting in a Niagara Falls driveway. I almost didn’t see this one; I missed a turn and had to go an extra block, and there it was! I believe the new Pope is a YAK fan, and that probably had something to do with it. Anyway, the Monza was the sportiest, and costliest, of the ’63 Corvair models. And the sport coupe was the line’s best seller, with almost 118,000 going out the door. This was the penultimate year before the total remake, which proved to be too little, too late. Here’s a link to the ’63 Corvair brochure.
