YAK Car Pic of the Day

Home is where the heart is. Sometimes it’s where the motorhome is. This 1987 Winnebago LeSharo has been sitting in a field out front of a Youngstown repair garage for some time now. It has me wondering if someone’s living in it. The LeSharo was one of Winnebago’s smaller motor homes — oh, wait… in their brochure, they said: It’s not just a motor home. It’s a miracle. It contained a space-saving bathroom which would slide out of the way (hopefully not while someone was in there), an aerodynamic front end (especially when compared to most other Winnies), and an oak beverage tray in the cab (for all of your oak beverages). Front-wheel drive, a turbo-charged 2-liter diesel engine, and a four-speed manual transmission brought the LeSharo into the modern ages, and promised better gas mileage than most of the other “bricks-on-wheels” that were passing for motor homes back in the day. Base prices started at around 30 grand. Read all about them in this brochure.
