YAK Car Pic of the Day

There’s not much that’s very interesting about this 1993 Ford Escort. Its cheap steel wheels and center caps, and lack of side trim, tell me it’s the el-cheapo Pony model (whose name was later changed to “Standard,” just in case buyers didn’t feel cheap enough buying a Pony). And seeing that the car is so boring, we’ll focus our attention on: a) the lovely surroundings — gotta love the garbage can and the overturned plastic lawn chair; and b) the old N.Y. Liberty tag which looks like it may be a vanity plate, but I can’t decipher it. Anybody?

This lovely diorama can still be seen daily in a Grand Island driveway.

...can you decipher this?

…can you decipher this?
