YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

.

Memories. There are some you’d rather forget. One of mine was ownership of a 1987 Dodge Aries station wagon, similar to this one which was recently For Sale in Wheatfield. Mine was bought as a second car, in a bit of a rush, back in 1995. Never, and I repeat, NEVER buy a car when you need one if you can help it. Start looking around before your old one gives up the ghost. The Aries (and its twin, the Plymouth Reliant, known collectively as K-Cars), you may recall, was the car that saved the Chrysler Corporation — at least, one of the times it had to be saved, back during the Lee Iacocca regime. (“If you can find a better car,” he said, “buy it!” Hah, I say.) I’m guessing that someone out there really needed a car, because when I drove by again yesterday, this garnet red wagon was gone. Best of luck to the new owner.
