YAK Car Pic of the Day

What a difference a year makes! This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 couldn’t look more different from the really square ’65 I showed you a few weeks ago. Actually, this’64, if you squint, looks like a ’63 Ford Galaxie that someone threw in the dryer and shrunk. I guess Ford was trying to get their money’s worth out of the design. This future of this light blue ’64 is questionable. The bad news is that the photo was taken inside a Niagara Falls scrap yard. The good news is that it looks like someone dragged it to the front — maybe to save it from the wrecker’s ball?. I guess we’ll never know as it was gone a while later, after sitting there for weeks (if not months). Who knows? Maybe I’ll come across it again some day. It happens often with these old cars I photograph — they keep popping up in different driveways.
