YAK Car Pic of the Day

It “…seats four people so elegantly, that each one enjoys the spacious, deep-down comfort found in a limousine.” So read the brochure (which you can see here). And yes it did, without the hassle of those messy-looking back doors which make getting into the rear seat so much easier! The 1960 Ford Thunderbird was the third and final year of this body style, which drew the ire of many T-Bird aficionados when it replaced the two-seater for the 1958 model year. Ford  had the last laugh though, as the ’58s more than doubled the sales of the ’57s with only a modest price jump. This two-toned hardtop was seen over the summer on Grand Island.

“Well at least I don’t have to sit in the back seat!”
