YAK Car Pic of the Day

I guess if you’ve never seen any television on Christmas, there’s a chance you’ve never seen the 1983 movie “A Christmas Story.” Then you’ve also never seen one of the great flat-tire-changing scenes to come out of Hollywood. As anyone who’s ever changed a tire on an old car with hubcaps knows, you always put the lug nuts in the inverted hubcap on the ground for safekeeping. Which works fine until your kid steps on the edge of said hubcap and sends the lug nuts catapulting into the nearest snowbank. At this point young Ralphie lets fly with the “Queen Mother of Dirty Words” (you know the one)Hah! The car with the flat in the movie was this 1937 Oldsmobile Six, owned and driven by Ralphie’s dad (played by Darrin McGavin).
