YAK Car Pic of the Day

Normally I’d pass on this photo. The car’s in the garage where most of it is out of sight, but… how many of these do you see any more? And, well, the door was open, so it’s not like it’s a big secret that it’s in there. This mid-range 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 two-door hardtop has been in this Grand Island garage for some time now, but yesterday was the first time you could really see it. Somewhat. The mid-sized Dodges of the middle ’60s were popular with hot-rodders, and this one looks like it’s no exception. Get a load of those rear tires, wheels, and springs. I think I’d lose the stoplight race with this guy. The brochure says the trunk is big enough for a two-week vacation. They never traveled with the YAK Family! Hah! See all of the 1965 Dodges here.

I’m liking this clean-looking base two-door sedan from the brochure

My uncle had a ’66 sedan with a 318 and the Torqueflite tranny. It was a solid, dependable workhorse of a machine and he clocked 300k miles on it before selling it.
