YAK Car Pic of the Day

I think this guy drove by my house one summer night while I was trying to sleep with the windows open. It’s probably not the quietest car in town, this 1973 Dodge Challenger — look at the size of that hood scoop! There’s something serious going on under the hood (maybe it’s the famed 440 CID; it’s certainly not a Slant Six, because after the ’72 models all Challengers were V-8 equipped). The Challenger was pretty much a Plymouth Barracuda clone, and was in production from only 1970 thru 1974. This one was seen this week in Tonawanda.
