YAK Car Pic of the Day

Yes, I was mighty tempted to jump into this customized black Murray pedal car and take it for a spin yesterday. It was parked outside of Dick’s Bicycle Shop in Tonawanda, across the street from Isle View Park (where there was also a red Murray fire engine). My very own first car was a powder blue 1951 Murray Champion (like the one below), which I put many miles on “driving” around the Village of Lancaster as a young boy. I can even remember throwing one arm across the seat and steering one-handed — just like Dad. All that was missing was the cigar.

Nice lines on the Champion and good road clearance, too  which reduced splash back from the puddles!
