YAK Car Pic of the Day

Back in the day, General Motors (and others) could afford to totally restyle their cars every year or two. This 1969 Cadillac Coupe de Ville was the first year of a two-year cycle. It wasn’t the cheapest Caddy you could buy, as that distinction fell to the Calais coupe, at $5,484. Another $237 would have put you into the beauty in today’s pic, which was seen last spring in a field located in — appropriately — Wheatfield. According to the catalog, the four-door hardtop Sedan de Ville “…attracted more buyers than any other single luxury car in the world.” See all of the ’69 Caddys here.
