YAK Car Pic of the Day

I saw this 1982-83 Dodge Rampage going down the road a few weeks ago, but couldn’t get a picture because it was going the wrong way. Or maybe I was. Anyway, yesterday I spotted it again in front of this repair shop in the Town of Niagara. Based on the Dodge Omni, the Rampage was a 2-passenger pickup available from 1982-84 (also available in MY 1983 as the Plymouth Scamp). They were on sale around the same time as the VW Rabbit pickup, and they all seem like good ideas that obviously (from their short production lives) weren’t. Little trucks never resonated with the North American buying public, I guess. Maybe I should have bought one back in the day. I didn’t need one, but neither do many pickup drivers.
