YAK Car Pic of the Day

If the ’71 New Yorker sedan we saw here a couple of days back wasn’t enough for you “fuselage” fans, how ’bout this 1973 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon? Although the roundedness of the big Chryslers was being toned-down a bit by 1973, it’s still there. And I always thought it made these huge station wagons look even bigger than they were. (Oddly, the big Chrysler wagons were built on the frame of the smaller Dodge and Plymouth with a wheelbase of only 122 inches, compared to the Chrysler sedan wheelbase of 124 inches. Still, a HUGE car, especially by today’s standards. This one was seen yesterday in a North Tonawanda repair shop parking lot.
