YAK Car Pic of the Day

Thanks to YAK reader Richard Sloan for the photo of this 1953 Buick Special, which he spotted recently in Lackawanna. The Special was Buick’s lowest-priced series in ’53, looking even more lowly with black tires and dog dish hubcaps. The four-door Special was Buick’s best seller this year, with over 100,000 units produced at a starting price of $2,255. Here’s a link to the old brochure.
