YAK Car Pic of the Day

There’s something about a British saloon (sedan, to you Yanks) from the 1950s or 1960s that just looks classy; although, there were a few that seem like they’d be more at home in a Monty Python sketch (see: 1952 Standard Vanguard). This 1957 Rover 105 R (commonly known as a P4), photographed at last summer’s Hemming’s Sports & Exotic Car Show in Saratoga Springs, is one of the classy ones. The 105 R featured a 2.6-liter six-cylinder engine, and was highly regarded by the motoring press. The P4 went into production in 1949, and, with various updates, lasted through 1964.
