YAK Car Pic of the Day

Paging Dr. Oldsmobile… here’s another great gas guzzler from back in the day. This time it’s a 1972 Olds Cutlass 4-4-2 . An option package for certain 1972 Cutlasses, previously the 4-4-2 was a separate model. The 4-4-2 designation originally stood for four barrel carburetor, four-speed transmission, and dual exhausts, but somewhere along the way that got lost in the translation, as the ’72 4-4-2 came with a three-speed stick shift and a dual carburetor; the other stuff was extra. This nifty orange exmple, with yet another period tag, is currently parked in a Town of Niagara driveway. You can read about the 1972 4-4-2 option package here.
