YAK Car Pic of the Day

.

As long as we’ve spent the past couple of days on small European cars, why not one more? I was given the heads-up on this circa-1975 Fiat 128 by reader (and Artvoice blogger) Alan Bedenko. When this photo was taken a while back in a Lockport driveway, the little yellow Italian was For Sale. Last time I drove by it wasn’t there, so I’m not sure if it’s been sold or was just out for a drive. The 128 was produced from 1968-1985, and in 1970 was voted European Car-of-the-Year. It was available as a two- and four-door sedan, and a three-door station wagon. The last Fiats in the U.S. — well, at least until the re-emergence of the new 500 — were sold in 1984.
