YAK Car Pic of the Day

For years I’ve been seeing the above 1965 Chevy II 100 around the City of Tonawanda. Yesterday I finally saw it when I had my camera, where it was sitting in front of the neighborhood repair shop. These things were so simple, that even today, any mechanic who’s been around for a while (and the guy at this shop certainly qualifies) can probably work on them blindfolded. At a mere $2,011 this was the cheapest ’65 Chevy you could buy, and it was in the final year of its three-year styling cycle. Personally, I think I like it better with the whitewalls and dog dish hubcaps. But, that’s me.
