YAK Car Pic of the Day

If you squint the car pictured above looks like a VW Rabbit. Now, open your eyes. It’s a Dodge Omni GLH. And for the uninformed, GLH actually does stand for Goes Like Hell. GLHs were built from 1984-86; but some say the real first GLH was the ’85 when Dodge added a turbocharger. These were all Carroll Shelby-modified cars, built during his post-Cobra, post-Mustang days. Did they really go like hell? Well, zero-to-60 times (with the turbocharger) were said to be in the under-nine second range, so yeah, they were pretty quick. This one, pretty rare in these parts, was seen recently in a Gasport driveway. See the Dodge performance brochure here.
