YAK Car Pic of the Day

Well, here’s another car I’d never seen before in person: a 1973 Jensen Interceptor, from last week’s Hemming’s Sports & Exotic Car Show in Saratoga Springs. It’s a British-built hatchback with an Italian-styled body, being driven by a U.S.-built Chrysler 383 CID V-8 and Torqueflite transmission. Just over 6,400 of them were produced from 1966-76; even rarer are the 267 convertibles and the 60 coupes which were built in 1974 and 1975 respectively. Jensen Sports Cars has announced an all-new Interceptor, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2014, which you can read more about here.
