YAK Car Pic of the Day

The brochure for this 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass holiday coupe says these models were “pizzazzier-then-ever.” Well, maybe when they were new, but it looks like a bit of the pizzazz has worn off this Tonawanda example. Back in ’67 all mid-sized Oldses weren’t Cutlasses; top-of-the-line cars were Cutlass Supremes, followed by Cutlass, and finally the base cars which were still going by the original Olds compact moniker — F-85. Oh yeah, and somewhere in there was the hot 4-4-2, the Olds answer to the Pontiac GTO, along with the Greyhound bus-like raised-roof Vista Cruiser station wagon.
