YAK Car Pic of the Day

two Plymouths: ’68 Road Runner, ’73 Duster 340, Orchard Park, N.Y.

Dedicated YAK fan Jim Weaver spotted these two well-worn Mopars yesterday, sitting in an Orchard Park driveway. The red 1973 Plymouth Duster 340 looks pretty tired, while the dark green 1968 Plymouth Road Runner looks a bit more with it. Beep-Beep. The Road Runner, if you look closely, appears to be wearing a pair of wheelie-bars under the back bumper. It’s also the higher-priced two-door hardtop model, as opposed to the bare-bones fixed-pillar coupe which offered not much eye candy but the same potent powerplant.
