’79 Continental Mark V — Killeen, Texas

Here’s another classic we found on this year’s drive to Texas: a 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V which looks like it sat in the sun too long. I’m trying to decide if it’s Crystal Apricot Metallic, with the front end faded to gray, or Dove Gray, with the rear end faded to where the primer is showing through. Either way, it needs a paint job! Ironic is the Disabled Vet tag, seeing that the Mark V looks pretty disabled itself at this point. It does look pretty solid though, and I’m sure it could be brought back to life. This was in front of a repair shop in Killeen, Texas last January. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was still there.

With  the Lincoln’s sheer expanse of sheet metal, a good body man could retire on this one!
