YAK Car Pic of the Day

By the time this brown 1973 Ford Mustang Grandé hit the showroom, the term “ponycar” might have been amended to “cowcar.” From the day the original Mustang debuted in 1964, designers were working on subsequent models, each one, of course, getting bigger and bigger until… this one. In 1974 Ford debuted the Pinto-based Mustang II, which miraculously stayed at the same size until the “II” moniker was dropped for the all-new 1979 models which were, you guessed it, bigger. This nice-looking example was recently seen in a Niagara Falls parking lot, and looks like it’s still in use.
