YAK Car Pic of the Day

It seemed like “Wide-Track” was officially a thing of the past (along with a string of forgettable Bonnevilles dating back to the early 1970s), and what used to be known as GM’s Performance Division was on the right track to respectability when this 1987 Pontiac Bonneville debuted. It was the fabled nameplate’s first foray into front wheel-drive, and the critics were mighty impressed; Car and Driver even named it to their coveted “10 Best” list. This body style would continue through the 1991 model year, when it was replaced by a much less-impressive car which I don’t believe made anyone’s “10 Best” list. This one, photographed a couple of months ago, still resides behind a Niagara Falls repair shop.
