YAK Car Pic of the Day

'76 Chrysler Newport interior

Look at the interior of this 1976 Chrysler Newport, and then go out in your driveway and look through the window of your 2000-and-whatever whatever. Why can’t automobile manufacturers put a little more pizzaz in today’s car interiors? Does everything have to be gray, tan, or black? While they’re at it, how about a few more exterior colors other than silver, white, black, and ninety-nine shades of gray? Bad enough that from a block away it’s hard to tell what kind of car is coming down the street because they all look so similar — but do they all have to be the same three or four colors?

Thank you for listening to my venting.
