YAK Car Pic O’the Day

An Post Renault Kangoo, County Limerick, Ireland

A Happy and Blessed St. Patrick’s Day to everyone! And in the spirit of the day: Back in 2007 we took a trip to Ireland, where we stayed with some dear friends in County Limerick. On our last day there, I just happened to be outside the garden gate when the An Post (Irish Post Office) van pulled up, delivering the day’s mail. Green, (natch), it’s a Renault Kangoo — for comparison’s sake about the size of a VW Golf. This made my day.

I almost killed myself the first time I crossed a street in Scotland. Unless you grew up in Great Britan & Ireland when crossing a street, you look left first. As they drive on the left, you could step of the curb & POW! On comming traffic. Gotta look right first. Try to negotiate a traffic circle. Whoa! The beer’s warm to boot.

Our Irish friend warned us about the roundabouts. “If you’re not sure where to turn out, stay in until until you are,” he told me. I think our first time in we did three laps.
