This Sunday (February 26), Chris Burger will present “The Economic Myths of Fracking.”  Sponsored by The Food and Water Club/Niagara, and WNY Drilling Defense, the presentation will teach attendees about both the myths and the hype being used by the gas industry and some politicians to convince us that environmental and health risks are worth the money to be made as well as ask the question, “Is it really a contest between the economy and the environment?”  Chris Burger is a college instructor who has earned degrees in Chemical Engineering, Economics and Social Psychology.  He is also the Co-Founder and Chair of the Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition and was a former Broome County Legislator and Chair of the Cornell University Eco-Justice Project.  The event will be held at the Lafayette Presbyterian Church, located on 865 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, from 4-5:30pm and is both open and free to the public.
