YAK Car Pic of the Day

'50 GMC, Killeen, TX

From the Out-of-Town Collection: this 1950 GMC panel truck was sitting in a used car lot just a few blocks from the gate of Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX a few weeks back when we visited. The sign in the front window said it’s a 1950, while the info sheet in the back window said 1953; I believe it’s a ’50 though. Unfortunately the seller is encouraging someone to buy it and turn it into a street rod. Yikes! This truck is begging for someone to scoop it up and use it to promote their business. Please, people, have some respect!

  • This looks like a s t r e t c h version, compared to the one shown in the brochure art — making it perhaps extra-rare.

Those l o n g panels would look great wearing a You Auto Know logo

I agree, Jim. That jewel should be on the road, as is. It would be the perfect machine for a small craft brewery to deliver their kegs and would provide lots of visible sheet metal on those panels for advertising.

That GMC Panel truck would be cool for some skilled trades small business. Thoes panels are begging for some logo. All that space. (But you gotta admit, it would make a really great custom streetrod. (Not very Artvoicey to say it though.)
