YAK Car Pic of the Day

Buick Reatta, Niagara Falls, USA

The Buick Reatta was a luxury sport coupe (and later, convertible) built from 1988-91. The “sport” aspect of it was somewhat dubious  — well, it did have only two seats, but nothing else was very sporty about it. A shrunken Riviera might better describe it. And apparently there wasn’t much of a market for a shrunken Riviera, as just under 22,000 of them were built over the four model years. This one winked at me as I drove by in Niagara Falls the other morning.

IT’S LIKE GETTING A BOWEL OF TAPIOCCA PUDDING FOR DESERT. “BLAH! “COME ON MOM, WHERE’S THE CAKE?” I GUESS THEY WERE WLL MADE, HOWEVER, JUST NO “ZING.”
