YAK Car Pic of the Day

…more pics from the 2012 NAIAS. Clockwise from the upper left: the answer to the question no one really asked — the 2014 Maserati Kubang SUV. This one’s a concept, but a production version is forthcoming, probably based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform with a Ferarri engine. Well, okay then. And next we have the Chrysler 700C minivan concept, which apparently is trying for the “un-minivan” look. To paraphrase Ringo Starr, “No, no, no, I won’t drive it no mo’.” Looks like the stylists left the clay model out in the sun too long. Okay, then how about the Toyota NS4 plug-in hybrid concept? Well, it’s certainly more interesting-looking than many current Toyotas, but that schnozz looks pretty vulnerable to parking lot mishaps. And the 2012 Toyota Prius c will go on sale in March as the Japanese automaker’s entry-level hybrid, with pricing thought to be starting around nineteen grand. This is probably the most sensible car on the page today. You can see more here.
