YAK Car Pic of the Day

'70 Saab Sonett III, Niagara Falls USA

Holy Moley, it’s a Saab Sonett III. Parked in a Niagara Falls parking lot. If this isn’t a rarity, I don’t know what is. Word is that it was recently bought out-of-town and trucked in. And word is that it needs a lot of work. This was the third, and last, generation of the Swedish sports car, which was powered by a Ford V-4 engine, and produced from 1970-74. You can view a brochure by clicking here and navigating to the Saab page.

KINDA-SORTA LOOKS LIKE THE ‘OL DATSUN 280ZX. MY GIRL FRIEND MIRIAM BACK IN THE DAY HAD A BLACK ZX. THEY BOTH WERE HOT. I WENT OFF ON A NORTH ATLANTIC CRUISE & MIRIAM DROPPED ME FOR A MARINE HELICOPTER JOCKY. I BET HE KEPT IT (THE CAR) NICE AND SHINEY FOR MIRIAM.
