This 1967 VW spent most of the Fall months sitting by the road just outside of downtown Ransomville with a For Sale sign in the window. I guess there were no takers though, as it has since been moved back into the yard where it now resides with a couple of other old Bugs.

SHIPPED IT BACK TO THE U.S.A. RIGHT OUT OF THE FACTORY. DROVE IT INFREQUENTLY UNTIL 1977. GOT ORDERS TO ITALY SO I PUT IT UP ON BLOCKS IN MY MOM’S GARAGE FOR 3 YEARS.WHEN I CAME BACK IT WAS 6 YEARS OLD WITH 9500 MILES ON THE TACH. RUTHANN & I GOT MARRIED 15 JAN 81. DROVE IT FOR MANY YEARS, (ME GOING TO SEA FOR 3 TO 4 MONTHS @ A WACK) WE SOLD IT TO AN AIR FORCE GENERAL FOR HIS DAUGHTER “GOING TO COLLEGE” CAR IN 1990 IT HAD LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON IT
