YAK Car Pic of the Day

'68 Cadillac Sedan deVille, Niagara Falls, USA

Here’s a fairly nice 1968 Cadillac Sedan deVille sitting in a Niagara Falls driveway. I say fairly nice because of the paintjob. Hard to say if it’s really faded silver or gray, or if the whole thing has been primered. Other than that it’s not lookin’ too bad. I had to laugh looking at the old brochure — the caption for the pictured vehicle read : “Sedan deVille in Silverpine Green with optional white sidewall tires…” Hard to believe when paying Cadillac dough that whitewalls were extra cost. I wonder if they all came with a radio and heater? Click here to see that brochure.

THE BROCHURE SAID IT’S 19 FEET LONG! THAT’S 3 FEET LONGER THAN MY LUND BOAT! YEOOW!

Hey Jim: I think it’s a ’67. If memory serves me, it was the last year of the horizontally stacked headlights. If I’m wrong, I’ll buy you your beverage of choice!

    Never mind! I didn’t look @ the brochure…that change didn’t happen until ’69! Name your beveridge….

    Jim,

Your pictures are mostly cars from Niagara Falls, what up with that? I guess we do love to hang on to our cars!

Mike – I’m in my car for hours every day driving around Niagara County for my job, hence all of the northern photos. I used to be more in Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties, and I still have a stockpile of photos which I’ll probably get into now that prime picture-taking weather is just about past.

Max – I was just about to correct your correction. You can email me a pint of Guinness!
