Buffalo-based poet Letson Williams will be reading poems from his upcoming book of poetry entitled Me and Me in a Lifeboat at the Western New York Book Arts Center on Wednesday (Dec 14) from 6:30 pm until 8.30 pm. A regular contributor to local poetry collective PressBoardPress, Williams’ poems are an eclectic blend of rhythmic musicality, wry wit and melancholic nostalgia, and will be performed by Williams in tandem with fellow local poets Michael Koh and Patrick Riedy. Vic Lazar will be setting the mood with ambient guitar interludes. Suggested donation of $5 to support future projects and event expenses. Books will be on sale for $10. Poetry is becoming more and more marginalized from the mainstream—go show your support for these incredibly talented local poets. Snacks and wine provided. —max soeun kim
