Scofflaw Collins: Serial Illegal Parking

God forbid Chris Collins should pay a parking meter, or imagine that parking regulations are for anybody but the poor. Here are some pics of our county executive’s minivan (aptly named the Enclave) parked illegally in front of Ulrich’s. Friday at lunchtime.

    I don’t think it’s right for Mr. Collins to park illegally. I’m pretty sure I would get a ticket if I were to do so.

    One of two things is happening: he either doesn’t care, or doesn’t pay attention. I think that such lack of caring and inattention to details is symptomatic of the problems we face at a local, state, and federal level. Elected official aren’t beholden to the same set of laws as the common folk.

    Reminds me of something I read in high school: All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others. . .

    Artvoice should be ashamed to publish these pictures. Mr. Collins was obviously attending to urgent Erie County business. No wonder great candidates are hard to find if they must put up with this type of harassment from muckrakers.

    Collins should follow the law like everyone else. The problem with many politicians today is a sense of entitlement from parking spots to overseas vacations.
