Wheels in the Grass

So, what did Ford do for an encore after selling 680,989 1965 Mustangs? Almost nothing, and then sold 607,568 1966 Mustangs. And here’s one of them, parked on the grass of a Sanborn side yard. Different side scallop trim, wheel covers, and grille texture are the most obvious outward changes made for 1966, and from a block away you might not even notice them. The price was certainly right, with the hardtop coupe starting at a mere $2,416. I’ll take a fastback please, in black.
