Today we wrote about the Showplace Theater on Grant Street, which is for sale on Craiglist.

Here’s a cool photo of the theater after it was hit by a truck sometime in 1966. “The marquee then landed on top of the truck,” says Mark Kubiniec, president of the Grant Amherst Business Association, whose historic photo project includes this image. “The truck stayed there several weeks because no one knew how to remove it. I still remember going by and seeing people squeeze by the truck to get into the show.”
