Tonight: Hispanics United Presents Copacabana Salsa Night

Tonight (Friday, Aug. 19), Hispanics United of Buffalo osts its first Copacabana Salsa Night fundraiser at the Buffalo Convention Center (153 Franklin Street).

Live music will be provided by Banda  Ritmo Seis and DJ Negro, and the evening’s emcee is Niche Acevedo from Impacto Musical Latino on WJJL-1440 AM.  There will be a dance competition with prizes for first, second, and third prizes, with judges from well known dancing schools in Buffalo and Rochester. The lead judge is Shea’s marketing director and salsa instructor Lisa Grisanti. The fee is $50.

The doors open for ticket sales at 6pm; the music starts at 7pm. General admission tickets are $50 and may be purchased by calling 856-7110 or at the door.  VIP tickets including food and open bar are $100; general admission for dance students is $30.00.

All proceeds benefit HUB, a 501 3(c) organization who provides services to underserved communities within Erie County and the City of Buffalo. During these challenging times not for profits have to become creative in raising dollars for sustainability why not in a way that is fun and inviting for all. All proceeds will be applied to operating the organization and its programs.
