Seasonal Suppers from Field & Fork

The Field and Fork Network will begin hosting Seasonal Suppers adding to their unique dining series. The three scheduled dinners will be held on local farms and prepared by local chefs from restaurant in the Western New York area. The proceeds benefit the Field and Fork Network, “that works to build capacity for a local food network in the eight counties of Western New York.”
All dinners are five-course meals and the prices include tax and gratuity.
July 23, 2011: The Summer Seasonal Supper (tomorrow) tickets sell for $75 and will be held at Root Down Farm in East Amherst, NY, which is a community supported agriculture farm and features ingredients from the summer harvest, with dinner prepared by Chef Patrick Rhodes from Nektar. There will also be a pre-dinner reception at Ken Spoth farm Market & The Farmer’s Daughter Gift and Antique Shop. The night also features live music and a field tour from the proprietors of the farm. According to Field & Fork:
“Guests will be dining field-side and are asked to dress appropriately for weather and uneven terrain. Each guest is also asked to bring their own plate to dine on as the meals will be served family style. There will be wine from local wineries paired with each course.”
September 24, 2011: The Early Fall Seasonal Supper tickets sell for $85 and along with dinner includes Night Lights, a light and music experience amongst the trails of the farm. Chef Brett Odorisio from the Anthenaeum Hotel will be preparing dinner at Green Heron Growers, a certified organic farm in Panama, NY.
November 5, 2011: Late Fall Seasonal Supper tickets sell for $75 a person and allow guests the chance to experience a meal by Chef Carmelo Raimondi from Carmelo’s Restaurant in a refurbished 180 year old barn at Singer Farm Naturals in Appleton, NY.
