And while Cuomo creates no show jobs as a political payoff to hacks like Sam, NYS workers hit the bricks: http://www.pef.org/layoff-process-information

Mr. Reese, your Bolshevik inspired attacks on good old Sam are most inappropriate. Everyone at the Club has always found him to be most amusing and he has always delivered for US. In his new position with the UDC, he will work closely with the Ciminellis to ensure that OUR public dollars are spread around equitably.

Sam is going to work hard at restoring the STAR tax rebate for homeowners who had it taken away by he and his NYS legislative colleagues. Sam had foresight though he did not keep the money for patronage but instead funneled it to developers for the historic redevelopment tax credit law. Like so many democrats today, Sam decided to take from the ordinary to give to the extraordinary who can make big campaign contributions. With this appointment it is obvious that Cuomo jr. has decided that economic development in WNY can bought by making a few political patronage appointments.
