SUNY Leader Beaten Up in Albany Press

The Albany Times Union—capital city’s daily paper—has been all over the story of SUNY official John J. O’Connor’s demise. It makes sense, since stories broken in that paper ultimately led to his downfall.
Click here to read today’s editorial in the TU:
…Mr. O’Connor left on his bosses’ terms, not his own. That alone suggests that others at SUNY and elsewhere in state government are beginning to come to constructive terms with the tenure of a man whose career went so badly astray when he provided then-Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno’s daughter what was allegedly a no-show job at the Research Foundation. There is much to learn from this sad story.
I haven’t read anything like that in any papers around here. Is SUNY corruption not of interest on our end of the state?
