Populism Conference Today and Tomorrow at Buffalo State College

Five panels, each featuring a keynote speaker, will address populism and its transformation from its association with progressive, democratic ideals to its association with conservative, anti-democratic sentiments.

Keynote speakers include:

Geoff Eley, author whose books include Forging Democracy and A Crooked Line.
Michael Kazin, author whose books include The Populist Persuasion: An American History and A Godly Hero: The Life of William Jennings Bryan.
Ernesto Laclau. Books include: Hegemony and Socialist Strategy: Towards a Radical Democratic Politics and On Populist Reason.
