Wheels in the Grass

Now that the thaw is here (to stay, one would hope) the old cars are starting to rear their heads again. This 1986 Saab 900 has been sitting in a side yard in Youngstown, N.Y. for awhile. Today I spotted it a little farther down the road at the local garage. It’s the lesser brother of the famed Saab 900 Turbo. Plain 900s like this one were driven, back in the day, often by people wearing tweed jackets with leather patches on the elbows. A solid, attractive automobile even now.
